Another great week of learning! He learned how to more properly navigate a giant ice pile that used to be a snow pile. They even got to climb up and slide down it when it was a snow pile again.

We were on the DIY kick after our homemade playdoh, so we made up some homemade puffy paint. Just self-rising flour, salt, water, and food colour, but oh no, we didn’t have any self-rising flour. We had to find out if we could make some from our existing ingredients. You bet your baking powder we could!

He still loves his dino figures, but I was noticing that the playsets we made previously were really more for display and not really ‘played with’. So we made a new one. A dino battle arena. (We learned that a cardboard base curls up as the glue-water dries, so we added another layer of cardboard…but styrofoam is where it’s at. (at least for the desired flat base). They love painting, and she loves adding gems to things.

Unicycle practice got good this week when he asked if he could push the stroller with his unicycle. I remembered that I had made the stroller handle able to drop down to his height, but long ago when I tried this technique, he didn’t have the unicycle sense about him to make it work at all…I had forgotten about it, I’m glad he remembered. You can see him really holding down on the stroller handle. If he had all his weight over the unicycle he could be just holding it for support. It’s great having the ability to see ‘how it feels’ before actually being able to get on it. I’m sure he’ll be riding this summer (if he still wants to)

He set his first unicycle goal already. He needs to be able to push his sister in the stroller before she outgrows it!

I posted about the great success in the swimming pool this week, ‘I looked at him and said, you know what bud? You’re officially a swimmer now!’. (he was beaming)

I love how different it looks from last week’s video!
