Farms are much more than learning about animals or food.
You might think ‘how many times can we go see cows?’. A little kid might say a thousand or so’. There is so much more going on at a farm than ‘city kids’ can take in in one visit.
Everything is new to them
Learning about how soy beans are grown is great. But almost everything there looks different than ‘city life’ in our experience – like different tools, methods, smells, and scenery.
The ‘socializing’ benefits from a few visits? Sure beats school! Farmers know what they’re talking about. Talk to them.
Different farms, different stories. Walking around for 10 or 15 minutes? Try to make it happen if you can!
