I figured he understood not going too fast down a hill, I’ve told him several times throughout the years (at hills) and always made sure to keep him going slow. (just in case)

Well, today just in case happened. He outran his own legs in a couple of strides and was out of control.

He ran by me way before I expected him to, so all I could really do is hope and point the camera. (I didn’t want to yell any instructions to him, he was on his own)

This is why dad puts the unicycle on top of the stroller and walks down the big hills.

When we got home, we analyzed his fall frame by frame…you can see his arms are up causing his centre of gravity to be too high, which caused him to lean forward, along with legs that couldn’t stop, and finally where his foot hit the ground mid-stride. I also pointed out how his body was pushing the top layer of sand which is why he wasn’t bloody like when his sister fell on the pavement. I was glad mommy was watching it with us as she pointed out his ‘great rolling/recovery’ which I took for granted. It was good for him to hear that, and watch it in the video again. Regular reminder to film your adventures!
