What a great addition to all the fun of hill climbs (and descents)…add kettlebells!
When the 6yo told me the weights weren’t heavy enough to make him tired, I first thought of getting him more weights. I didn’t think about at the time that all he needed to do to heavy up those kettlebells was to hold them out further! Something for the nice to know pile.
Kettlebells are a fun way to add strength training and muscle building into ‘just playing around’
We also did ‘run up the hill’, ‘run up the hill backwards’, and ‘throw those kettlebells down the hill’ challenges.
The kids loved it and want to do it again. Will we discuss how science brings the weights up, or helps in the various ways they can get down the hill? Maybe.
