Well, the great part about moving all of your stuff to the end of the balcony is that pigeons will think it’s a great place to build a nest! Luckily what they chose to nest under was the old playmats i use as spray paint backdrops and right on the cement.
I was happy to discover their nesting area provided so many vantage paints for my gopro! It’s quite interesting to watch what they are doing in their ‘unwatched and alone’ action…especially in watching how the nest gets built and pressed into shape while they go.
An interesting observation is that they only build or sit in the nest (so far) between late morning and mid-afternoon, they spend their nights elsewhere.
We googled what pigeons eat and poured them what seems like several generations worth of uncooked barley for them, along with a bowl of water. Gotta keep that nesting power up!
